Course fees and payments

Take a look at our course fees, flexible payment options and how to pay below. All courses include an acceptance fee of £250 to secure your place. You must pay this within two weeks of the date on your offer letter.

Total tuition fees for our courses (including the £250 acceptance fee):

  • MSc Data Analytics: £11,200 
  • MSc Global Human Resource Management: £9,500
  • MSc Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship: £10,900

  • MSc Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management: £11,200 

There are two ways for you to pay your tuition fees:

  • In full
  • In a maximum of six instalments spread across two years

To pay in full, you should transfer the funds no later than three weeks before your course begins.

To pay by instalment, your first instalment should be paid no later than four weeks before your course’s start date if you are self-funding or sponsoring your studies. Subsequent instalments should be paid no later than four weeks before the start of each term.

If you are using a student loan to fund your studies, please email a copy of your loan schedule once you receive it.

Your first instalment must be paid no later than two weeks after receiving your first loan payment. Subsequent instalments must be paid no later than two weeks after receiving each loan payment.

A payment plan will be emailed to you shortly after we receive your acceptance fee and you hold an unconditional offer.

You can pay online or by phone, using a credit or debit card, or by bank transfer.

The University of Portsmouth works in full partnership with Cambridge Education Group (CEG) on their online courses, under the subsidiary name of Portsmouth Online*. As a result, you can expect to make your fees payments to the CEG Digital Ltd bank account and/or see the name CEG Digital Ltd on your bank or card statements.

CEG Digital Ltd is the correct bank account as the subsidiary account for this partnership and you need to use this name when your bank asks for confirmation of the payee. It will also be the name you see appear on any statements.

Postgraduate loan details


You may be eligible for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan of up to £11,570 from the UK Government. Please visit for more details.

Northern Ireland

If you're studying a distance learning postgraduate Master’s in Northern Ireland, you can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan of up to £5,500 to help with the cost of tuition fees. Please visit Student Finance Northern Ireland for more details.


If based in the USA, you may be able to apply online for a private Sallie Mae student loan – our federal school code is G21159 and our OPEID is 02115900. You will need to complete the Private Education Loan Applicant Self-Certification form and email this to us at

You are strongly advised to use the repayment estimator to help you calculate your repayment options against your future salary expectations. This will help you plan your borrowing and repayments to avoid problems in the future and minimise defaulting on your loans.

Please be aware that Sallie Mae cheques can take upwards of five to six weeks to arrive. We recommend that you get in touch with one of our course advisers as early as possible before applying for the loan. They will be able to take you through the requirements and overall process.

Alumni discount details

If you were awarded an undergraduate degree by us, you could be entitled to our Alumni Discount for further study.

This entitles you to a 20% fee reduction on the following courses:

Refer a friend

If you refer a friend who successfully enrols, you and your friend will both receive a reduction on your full tuition fee.

For our Master's degrees, there's a £500 tuition discount to you, and a £500 tuition discount to your friend.

Terms & Conditions

Your friend has to successfully enrol, pay their first instalment and complete the first 14 days of study, on which you will qualify for your reward.
