Step 1
Find the right course for you. Choosing to study a postgraduate degree is a huge decision. You want to find the course that fits your ambitions and interests, and can help you advance your career. On our course pages, you’ll find the information you need to make the right choice. This includes what you’ll learn on each course, how you can fit your studies around work and personal commitments, and how your degree can help you achieve your career goals.
Step 2
Check the entry requirements. You’ll find specific entry requirements on our course pages. We still want to hear from you if your academic or professional background differs from the requirements listed. We know not everyone has taken the same path to postgraduate study.
Step 3
Speak to someone on our course adviser team. They can answer your questions about choosing the right course, the application process and how to fund your studies. Speak to someone on the team by calling +44 (0)23 9400 3692 or email info@study-online.port.ac.uk
Step 4
If English isn't your first language, make sure you meet our English language requirements of IELTS level 6.5 or equivalent. Phone our course adviser team on +44 (0)23 9400 3692 or email info@study-online.port.ac.uk if you have questions about our English language requirements.
Step 5
Think about how you’ll pay for your degree. There are a number of ways to fund your postgraduate studies with us. On our fees and funding page, you’ll find information on tuition fees, additional course costs, and funding options available including loans and application offers.
Step 6
Gather supporting evidence for your application. You’ll need to supply two references and proof of your academic qualifications. You’ll also need to write a personal statement.
Step 7
Write your personal statement. This is where you should demonstrate your enthusiasm for your chosen course, and highlight the skills you've gained from your academic studies and work or life experience.
For the Global Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), you will also need to complete a research proposal.
