I’m currently in the process of completing my PhD at the University of Portsmouth. My professional and academic focus lies in enhancing psychological wellbeing and quality of life for individuals and families affected by gynaecological cancers.

What fuels my passion for psychology is its potential for practical implications. I’m driven by the belief that research holds the key to positive change for individuals, families, and society as a whole.

I’m actively engaged in studies fostering psychological wellbeing in our community. This commitment also seamlessly aligns with my role as a British Psychological Society (BPS) Trainee Health Psychologist.

Career highlights

  • BSc (Hons) Psychological Sciences: I was fortunate to graduate with First-Class Honours in my BSc, which laid the foundation for further opportunities and accomplishments.
  • MSc Health Psychology: I achieved a Distinction at the University of Portsmouth, which not only helped me gain valuable skills but also find mentors among lecturers and clinical psychologists who inspired and supported me.
  • PhD Psychology: The guidance received during my MSc ignited my motivation to pursue a PhD, where I am currently funded by the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (SCDTP).
  • BPS Health Psychologist Training: Because research with real-life implications is central to me, I decided to also train as a Health Psychologist, and will ultimately divide my time between academia and clinical practice upon completion of my PhD.
