I am a senior lecturer in Business Management at Derby Business School, having previously worked at De Montfort University and Coventry University.
I hold a postgraduate certificate in Risk Management from Middlesex University, an MSc in Disaster Management from Coventry University and a PhD in Crisis Decision-Making from Middlesex University.
My research interests span areas such as crisis, risk and safety management, business continuity management, strategic management, decision psychology, resilience science and research methods.
I have been certified as a home safety advisor with the West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) where I previously supported the casualty and simulation group in managing emergency training initiatives and in supporting awareness programmes geared towards community safety.
Holding the status of Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and serving as External Examiner to a number of UK universities.
Becoming an editorial board member at the journal of American Business Review (ABDC category A journal) and presenting my research at a number of local and international conferences, including publishing in notable journals, such as JCCM, IJES, Management Decision and CTW.
