Julie Spurgeon

During a 27 year career at IBM I gained extensive experience in the management of human resources (HR), and was a Line Manager with day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the people management cycle. 

I was a Business Unit HR leader, interfacing with the HR function on behalf of Business Unit Executives and managers for all aspects of the people management cycle.

I was also a European Workforce Strategy Leader and Global Skills Development Lead, focusing on organisation skill gaps, creating a tailored curriculum and a catalog of courses.

I'm currently working to complete a PhD in the area of conflict and resistance between volunteers and their managers.
