Jadeite Jackson

I am an Online Tutor for the Strategic Risk and Risk Behaviour module.

I have a professional background as an analyst in General Insurance, where I worked closely with various Departments including Claims, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Actuarial and Risk Management.

During my tenure as an analyst, I was a member of the Business Continuity Management team and was responsible for performing the Business Impact Analysis for the Insurance and Reinsurance Department.

I was also a member of the company’s crisis management team during Hurricanes Irma and Maria; this team was responsible for strategic redeployment of claims staff and independent adjusters to subsidiary companies across the Caribbean to restore and supplement critical business functions.

My educational background includes an MSc in Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management from the University of Portsmouth, the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and a BSc in Mathematics with a minor in Actuarial Science from the University of the West Indies St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago.
