My professional background is both as an academic and a practitioner. I was a staff member at University of Portsmouth for several years and at University of Southampton and University of Nottingham. As a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Business and Law at Portsmouth, I worked with cohorts of off-campus students studying their Master’s courses online and was the course leader for Strategic Quality Management (Distance Learning) programmes. I am a Senior Fellow of the professional body, Advance HE.
My business career has been in global organisations, across sectors such as pharma, professional and financial management consulting and support services, with practitioner experience in HR management, organisational excellence, risk management and business/management systems third-party accreditation.
Team-working with colleagues and gaining insights into how culture and business practices in different countries underpinned the successful performance of the organisations
